Welcome to WR4EC
The Edgefield County Amateur Radio Club brings together licensed operators and newcomers across Edgefield County, South Carolina. We operate the WR4EC repeater, support emergency communications through ARES and the SCHEART network, and get on the air together for Field Day, the SC QSO Party, and other events through the year.

On the calendar
Club nets and meetings are announced on the repeater and on our Facebook page. The operating events we take part in each year:
- Winter Field Day — last full weekend of January
- South Carolina QSO Party — last Saturday of February
- ARRL Field Day — fourth full weekend of June
- SKYWARN Recognition Day — first Saturday of December
- SCHEART nets — weekly, see the IRLP schedule
New to amateur radio?
You do not need a licence to come and meet us, and you do not need equipment to get started. If you are interested in getting licensed, in emergency communications, or you have just moved into the area and want to find the local repeater, get in touch — we are glad to help.
